@JacobsVegasLife I love the specialized jobs that las vegans have here. Truly shows how well the Casinos pay attention to the details and pay people for their specialties.
I ❤️my home!
@DKH63@atensnut It’s lovely isn’t it? It’s Monday morning and I’m drinking my coffee with my two dogs and watching my podcast while I get ready for my day. It’s heaven.
@Paulreynolds196@atensnut So yes, I was holding myself back bc I literally couldn’t carry this thing - which by the way is one of those ladders that open to 20 feet if I want - it was too heavy.
@Paulreynolds196@atensnut This was like a 10 foot extension and my ceiling is closer to 12-15 feet. That ladder is extremely heavy and cumbersome to carry and work the extension. Believe me, if I could have, I would have but I couldn’t even pick the ladder up.
@SconnieinTexas@atensnut This needed the 10 foot extension. I think the ceiling is closer to 12-15 feet - and the ladder is incredibly heavy so I needed my mate to help me. Also, I fell off a ladder a few years ago and so, I can’t get up that high.
@WallStreetApes Also that looks like it’s post a rainstorm and when it rains, it floods pretty badly, that is a manufactured dry creek bed and a lot of homeless live underneath - so all that “garbage” you see is peoples belongings. With that being said, I bet it was cleaned up within a few days.
Actually, the Mayor of Las Vegas has jurisdiction over Las Vegas only - so, Downtown LV, parts of summerlin, southern highlands and up to Centinnial. NOT THE STRIP!
The strip itself is on land called Paradise, so that “mayor” has zero jurisdiction there. The strip, the airport and anywhere in unincorporated Paradise run by Clark County City Commission.
Little known Facts!
At any rate, that’s pretty disappointing. The Strip isn’t dirty like that at all. But I’m willing to bet it was cleaned up within the day.
Oh shit…: did I say bet? Well, I live here and the house has the odds, so therefore, done bet against the house. Don’t bet against Vegas.
@LorInAllMyGlory@atensnut Right?? I mean who wouldn’t want someone from the LVFD or HFD come to your house at 4 am? The last time they were here bc my mom had an emergency it was a damn calendar walking around my house 🔥🔥
@LorInAllMyGlory@atensnut Not in the Las Vegas metro area. I looked it up this morning - and non-emergency is defined by other things that doesn’t include the fire department coming to your house. Unfortunately.
Sad right? I never expect any strangers to help me.
She was screaming and crying for help and no one did. Like for an hour… and all people did was assume someone else was calling the police - and waited for the screaming to stop.
I am glad your guardian angel guided you to safety.
