I am not sure twitter is the platform to explore this further. If you are keen though, become an MP and make the changes. That’s how a democracy works

@pyromynci @Bearasaurus_R @carolvorders No one needs to ‘stick around’. Each country has good and bad elements. Countries all approach tax differently. The uk is still one of the best countries to live in. Remember that in certain countries you could be facing jail for your earlier tweet, or maybe worse.

@richallan100 @carolvorders And she will contribute. Through VAT, stamp duty, fuel duty etc etc. she comes from a very wealthy family and chooses to pay income tax in India. Why are you so wound up about this?

@richallan100 @carolvorders What are you going on about. Non dom status is there to stop people paying income tax in more than one country. The global tax system relies in it. It is not illegal. The fact she is wealthy enough to have this option is her good fortune.

@Alan42716895 @carolvorders If she elects to pay tax in India and then avoids it one would assume that India will deal with it. Not sure why you are making an issue of this.there are more important things to worry about. Also, if she buys goods, has a car, buys a house here she is paying some taxes here.
