Conservatives need to remember their roots and all of the things we once stood for and all the barriers we broke, and all the good things we did for our country, our citizens, and the world. We are builders. We are opportunity makers. We value community and collaboration.
@CaptainBraeside@jengerson@CoryBMorgan Actually, yes it does. If you leave the country, you are no longer a citizen unless Canada chooses to grant dual citizenship. Source: 1998 Reference re: Secession of Quebec.
@Lousanabill@jengerson@CoryBMorgan This is false. Separatists in QC tried to tell voters they could keep the passport, no federal gov agreed with that.
@AlienatedAlber1@MichaelSolberg So no real life examples. Read the Clarity Act yet? Understand what you’d need to negotiate and pay for? And a landlocked resource - going to negotiate with BC ? Separation is not a magic wand Greg. Making overly simplistic arguments about how easy this would be is disingenuous.

@JoeMcFarland@CraigBaird Thanks for writing and posting this. I follow you both, and I appreciate your perspectives. Some of it does ring true for me too. These are very angry and unstable times. Anger usually does not equal good decision-making. We have more reasons to stand together than apart.
@Martyupnorth Actually, she’s a former conservative who moved into career public service because of her love of our country. You should do some deeper research. Janice is extremely accomplished and trusted and sharp.
@SarahTr52165351 Again, walk a mile Sarah. Don’t be unkind. If you don’t like her, fine, but don’t shit post her or about her. Live and let live. This platform makes it too easy to dehumanize.
Any normal democratic country would investigate this first before pronouncing an opinion, let alone something as classless as this. I weep for your once great nation. I hope you can find your way again.
