First Graders have spent the past few weeks examining the lifecycle of a butterfly. As part of this exploration, students used Geraldo Valรฉrio's book "My Book of Butterflies" as inspiration to craft these beautiful butterfly symmetry drawings. ๐ฆ๐จ
As part of their identity work, 1st Graders worked on โI Amโ poems. 1st Graders thought deeply about who they are, what they believe, and much more.
Thanks for sharing a piece of your heart with us, First Grade. ๐๐๐๐๐
Another week of #cooking with #firstgrade - our @imperfect_foods box included Cara Cara oranges, Blood oranges, eggplant, & Romanesco. Students loved the oranges, loved the roasted Romanesco, & were not as enthusiastic about the breaded eggplant rounds. But they did try them!
What a fun Math game from @mburnsmath - 2 Dice Sums with a class of #firstgrade students! Best quote of the day - โI was very risky today and put all my cubes on 12!โ So fun!
Happy Monday! Check out these awesome creations from some great #firstgrade students! Thank you so much #ptownheart for the inspiration! I am blown away at how beautiful these are! #IAmPoem
@zoom_us With the new upgrade, the Unmute All feature has disappeared, as well as the ability for the Host to unmute participants. This is very problematic for younger students using Zoom. Is there any solution to this - coming from a teacher? @zoom_us #zoom#zoomfortheclassroom
@zoom_us Zoomed with my young students today & see thereโs no Unmute All button anymore. The Request to Unmute feature doesnโt work for them. Now thereโs 1 more step for them to complete when answering a question. Is there any solution for teachers working w/ younger students?
