BREAKING: America has awoken! (Thread of Nationwide Protests:)
A Massive Protest has formed in Boston just now. Thousands are protesting Trump, Musk and DOGE.
This is just 1 of over 1000 planned protests this morning and afternoon. See the rest below --->
Obama just said what everyone’s thinking but too many are afraid to admit: If he had done even a fraction of what Trump’s doing—blacklisting press, punishing dissent, targeting student protestors—the outrage would’ve been deafening.
But now? Silence. Because when the Constitution gets torched by someone in your tribe, suddenly principles are optional.
This isn’t about policy anymore—it’s about power unchecked and hypocrisy on full display.
What we needed today was a President who evoked compassion for families, mourning for the lives lost, and a unified commitment to the safety of travelers.
Instead, what we experienced was a divisive, insensitive message, which lacked any factual basis for casting blame on DEI.
The message evoked racism, discrimination, and continued misunderstanding of the intent of initiatives that did not dismiss merit and excellence, but ensured that merit and excellence were not dismissed in non-white, non-male, non-heterosexual, differently-abled people.
We have a choice, America.
We can educate and elevate ourselves beyond this.
In doing so, we must cultivate and expect leadership that promotes dignity and creates an atmosphere for building the Beloved Community.
A powerful day honoring a true giant in our community with the naming of the Nathaniel McFadden Learn and Play Park. East Baltimore showed up for a leader whose legacy in education and service will endure. A moment to witness, a legacy to cherish. #BaltimoreExcellence

Here's What's Happening in First Grade!! Last week we participated in our 3rd Artist Integrated lesson with @arts4learningmd.
The students worked with a visual arts artist to design a creature with distinct visuals and textures after reading
Aesop’s Fables.
Thanks @wjz for having the Fund's President & CEO, @rogerbschulman, and 2024 Heart of the School Award winner, @PrincipalFord_, on the show yesterday morning to talk about the Heart of the School Awards and principal nominations. Check it out!

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have deeply, deeply misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Bmore Youth Arts Advocacy Council member, Zoey Phillips, testified on behalf of the arts at the Baltimore City Public Schools Board Meeting yesterday evening. "We believe that all students deserve the right to a first-class education that includes the arts."
Over $3M in State funding and teamwork brought new lighting, cameras, pedestrian upgrades, and license plate readers to Little Italy. The result? A 45% drop in homicides and shootings in the 46th District. Community action works—let’s keep it going!

Proud momma! This model pairs artists & teachers to approach learning differently and puts students & the arts at the center of learning. It is more effective than other approaches; we got receipts! We're on a mission to make this a reality for all kids. Who's with us?!?
