A Domino's Pizza shop in Oregon had a regular customer named Mr. Alexander. For five years, he ordered a small pepperoni pizza almost every day.
The drivers knew him. He was elderly and lived alone.
One week, the orders stopped.
Monday passed. Tuesday passed. Wednesday
passed.
Most businesses wouldn't notice. But the manager, Sarah, did. "It's not like him," she said.
She sent a delivery driver to his house, even though he hadn't ordered anything.
The driver knocked. No answer. The lights were on, but the house was silent.
The driver called 911. "I'm a pizza driver," he told the operator. "My regular customer isn't answering. Something is wrong." The police broke down the door.
They found Mr. Alexander on the floor. He had suffered a stroke three days earlier. He was dehydrated and barely alive, unable to reach the phone.
They rushed him to the hospital. He survived.
Mr. Alexander didn't have family nearby. But he had a pizza shop that treated him like family. It proved that in a community, people notice when you're gone 🙏🙏
