@GergelyOrosz Because many engineering middle managers are absolutely terrible, or their hands are tied when it comes to promotions, autonomy, and other aspects of the job that would motivate the people they manage.
@MichelleMaxwell I think it's identity politics.
We often saw this with Kamala. When people were asked at her rallies about her accomplishments, many couldn't come up with something, but they were elated that she's a black woman.
Karen Bass is "fighting the white patriarchy," blah, blah, blah.
@NelsonG96116840@SiliconForested I can just imagine a bunch of know-nothing HR people deciding in some meeting that CS professors will be required to have the A+ certification.
@Athena_Lioness I don't have any friends. I have lots of pseudo friends who wouldn't choose to hang out with me, but who are cordial to me at church or around the neighborhood.
It's strange, because I'm hilarious.
@LowLevelTweets This post, right here and now, just made me tired of the overuse of the word “literally.”

“there is indubitably nothing wrong with goto”
@skoluss@jetbrains Oh, so JetBrains says “everyone is valued,” but you’re putting a time limit on that value? I guess not everyone is valued.
When a church is oppressed by its own government, what precisely is the expiration date for when we stop caring about it?
Also, does this apply to slavery?
@skoluss@jetbrains I invite you to read about the extermination order issued in 1838 by the governor of Missouri.
It called for Mormons to be “exterminated or driven from the state,” a prime example of a small Christian church being stripped of its rights:

@thefoodbabe As Elon says, incentives explain outcomes.
Why are food companies incentivized to use engineered ingredients and skirt the truth about what their product contains? Is it just cheaper to use processed ingredients?
And how do their employees feel about lying? They must not care.
