i was having a conversation with a fellow today
he owns a cattle farm here in thailand
the conversation with him was about something i didnt know existed; biomass
sure its been around ages, i just never thought about it
5/ So the result came down to ONE input the operator controls: the server seed they generate for each bet.
They can see what any seed pays before serving it - then hand you a losing one. I'm not saying they chose a loser on every bet; I'm saying they could have, and there'd be no way to tell.
"But the seed is committed before the bet!" - that only proves they didn't change it AFTER. It says nothing about which seed they picked BEFORE - and because my client seed was already public, they knew exactly what each seed would pay when they picked it.
It's a sealed-envelope coin flip where the house gets to peek at both sides first. The seal is real. The fairness isn't.
And my playstyle was no secret - I always target the same band, 3.5 to 4x. Against a client seed that never changes, a known target is all anyone would need to serve seeds that come in just under it.
4/ How "provably fair" works: each result mixes 3 inputs - a server seed (the casino's), a client seed (mine), and a nonce (a counter).
I control one input, so the house can't know the result before I bet. That's the whole safeguard.
What the VIP did: it froze two of the three - nonce pegged to 0, and my client seed locked to an already-public 2023 Bitcoin block I couldn't change.
There are only two ways a game can be provably fair: a client seed I control, OR server seeds locked to a public list published in advance.
It had NEITHER.
