@zammit_marc Working at a Blockbuster was my initial film education. We used to stay in store on the weekends after close & bring in all sorts of obscure movies we found in magazines & swap meets and sit and talk about them until we had to open the store the next day.

@DewlineO @SupermanOnFilm @JamesGunn I agree, for a Jack Wheeler Wild Dog. My film version,or mini series, would have him heavily referenced, but not the active Wild Dog. I could see an almost Hannibal/Clarice relationship between Wheeler and Kate Spencer, her trying to track down this new Wild Dog.

@PatrickZircher The Cthulhu mythos is great when you read it and realize the continuity he was laying out. Amazing world building.
But, my favorite Lovecraft stories are lot even in the series. Cool Air and Pickman’s Model are, in my opinion, two of his best.

It’s one thing to write for spec, another to pander. Don’t. People either like a story or they dont. Be true to the story.
If they worried about feelings, The Boys would not have seen the light of day.

Keep the mystery of who is behind the mask aspect, update w/ new characters & set it in Memphis where the FBI is dealing w/ rising white power fanatics (William Hell from the Ostrander/McDonnell run) who are preparing to start a race war w/ supers. Dark, gritty & bloody.

I saw COME DRINK WITH ME as a teenager. Someone in our movie group found a copy & I remember this one as a gem in a night of questionable choices.
Years later she thrilled me on the big screen as Jade Fox in CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON.

@AmazingPopPod An amazingly jarring film that shows the value of traditional, physical special effects. It was very faithful overall to the original film, perhaps due to Barker’s work on the screenplay. Very adult themes & some truly distrubing visuals. Still the best of the series.
