HB2038, a bill passed unanimously by all Republicans in the legislature and now being implemented by the TMB had its strongest advocates with conservative think tanks who were forward thinking on how to tackle physcian shortages.

The annual women in breakfast meeting was a huge success this morning! Thank you to Drs. Kristyn Ingram & Lisa Weiss for hosting and to all of the individuals that came out to celebrate the women in this great specialty! Congrats to the raffle winners! #TXAnes24
I looked up my “peer” who denied an indicated surgery.
My “peer” hasn’t been allowed to do surgery for 10 years because he put a hip replacement in backwards, but he gets to overrule my decisions.
This is insane.
@mkintx1 I indeed cannot take all the credit! We had a great team and #TMA staff, especially Liz Sansom! Thank you so much for the comment, this is truly appreciated!!
@Nadia_Hdz_MD@dr_g_williams@drsanjaygupta can we stop testing the sickest and just assume or diagnose based on clinical/radiological findings? Use the tests to really stop the spread by testing healthcare workers and not using travel or contact as requirement anymore?
My friend @darakass has been busily caring for patients in NYC... and now is home ill with #COVID19 https://t.co/8GlVcEfOxv She’s one of 4 of my friends in healthcare with the disease... and that was *with* proper protective equipment.
@Docomalik@LloydTurbitt@rosie_hogg@jonmcck@doctimcook@amit_pawa@elboghdadly@lancs7 Heated question. The WHO says after the aerosolizing procedure is done (exact time?) surgical mask is safe. But we are not being given full PPE per WHO guidelines for even the intubation because they are in such short supply. So there is a lot of emotional answering.
So thankful I had the pleasure of meeting and listening to the @Surgeon_General@JeromeAdamsMD speak this morning. He is the first Anesthesiologist to serve in this position and as such is uniquely suited to face the challenges of health care today. Thank you for all that you do!
