Staffordshire Wing was fortuate enough to be represented on IACE trips by Sqn Ldr T Vahter WHQ (🇦🇺), CWO A Simon 388 (🇦🇺) & CWO L Hancock 60 (🇺🇸)

Today 24 cadets from across the wing attended a media industry day at White Waltham Airfield in Maidenhead.

They all took part in a tour around @ShootAviation’s studio where an ITV drama is currently filming.

They had talks from people that work in TV & Film and heard about the career paths they could follow.

Helicopter Services also gave the cadets the opportunity to explore their hanger and see the aircraft used with mounted cameras for filming on set!

Today over 200 cadets from around Staffordshire Wing competed in the annual wing athletics competition held at RAF Cosford.

Cadets competed in a mixture of track & field disciplines both for their units and for the opportunity to advance to being a part of the wing team to compete at the regional athletics competition later this year.

Congratulations to all who took part, and to 395 Stafford Squadron who were the overall competition winners!

Last weekend 15 cadets from around the wing attended a Long Range wing shoot at DMS Whittington Ranges.

Cadets shot the L98A2 at ranges of 100, 200 & 300m as part of the cadet shooting syllabus. 4 cadets progressed through the CLFs and achieved their Advanced Marksman awards!

Over 60 aircraft will fly through the skies above Buckingham Palace and The @RoyalFamily.
