A bootstraped startup is mostly well versed with the local environment, better than the funded startup in Bangalore and thus has a deeper understanding of how they see their problem that the startup is 'being hired to solve'. They should use this to become more authentic.

@ShreyaPattar (1/2) We tend to use 'familiarity' as measure of authenticity and quality. Second, wev wrongly use the funding news as a sign of ratification for the product or underlying technology. That's the reason we end up buying from funded startup more than a bootstraped.

@justindross Most of the time the 'product' would need to be redesigned for the new customer group. Ideally, the product idea should come from the needs of the 'everyone'. Such product would also work for the rich. Often, rich people pay for 'premium' services, where a product doesn't exist.
