Exactly one year ago today, following a late-night vote of no confidence in the Liberals, I resigned as the Member of Parliament for Battle River—Crowfoot to allow a critical by-election to take place. Since then, our Conservative Leader, @PierrePoilievre, successfully contested that by-election and has been championing our communities and values.

The message I shared with the House of Commons a year ago is the exact same one I share with you today: Canada is worth fighting for. 🇨🇦

I believed it then, and I believe it even more now. Pierre Poilievre is the right man to be the Prime Minister of Canada. The divisions and pain our country faces right now will only begin to heal with a common-sense Conservative government.

Canada needs better. Over the last year, I think many Canadians hoped that Mark Carney and a "renewed" Liberal Party would deliver. But a year later, our country finds itself deeply divided, stuck in a recession, and everyday Canadians are left struggling to make ends meet.

Canada deserves better, and the Conservatives will deliver.

While I stepped down from the seat I had the distinct honor of representing, I haven’t gone away. I remain deeply involved at the grassroots level with an amazing group of local Conservatives. My wife, @DanielleKurek, serves as our local school board trustee, and I am so proud to call the residents of this region my friends and neighbours. Pierre is fighting hard for the folks of Battle River—Crowfoot every single day.

A lot has changed over the last year, but some things never will: this region is the best place in the world, I am proud to be an Albertan, and Canada remains worth fighting for.

When the next election is called, it will be my absolute honor to be your @CPC_HQ candidate on the ballot alongside our leader, Pierre Poilievre. Together, we are fighting for a Canada that works.

Finally, I want to say a massive thank you to my wife, my boys, my family, friends, volunteers, team members, and the incredible people of this region.
