@adamwasmo@CedricAPhillips But the One Ring is so much worse if you only have 1 copy in the deck. Half the power is there is very little punishment for going deep with it because you find a new one and reset with a new grip and complete safety. I hate 1 of feel bads, but restricting is essentially a nerf.
Also remember to use surveil lands to potentially hit a reanimation target. If you can reanimate Atraxa, you should try to keep up 1 mana if possible so you can play dark ritual sorin afterwards. This can lead to nutty turn 2 hands like this.
@mtgazone Don't forget you can use thoughtseize targeting yourself, which is important as it is the only way to get turn 1 atraxa, with dark ritual -> thoughtseize your atraxa -> reanimate.
@BinarySoloMTG gg. I definitely think your odds would have been better overall taking the Necro as if I hadn't drawn one I would have probably lost. In that particular game though I'm not sure it mattered as I had a second in hand and could have made the same overdraw + March line.
I got to 7-0 in the Timeless metagame challenge with a slightly altered list of the Arena GOAT @AlthMtg's Mono B Vamps - Sideboard changes I made were meh, added second survail land after listening to @G3RRYT's pod, it was 10/10. @mtgazone#MTGArena
@Mistakenn1 Agree wholeheartedly that they keep getting better and better and it is starting to homogenize the format. But let's not forget how miserable pre-MH2 modern was, where it was basically a "who has the best turn 4 combo" contest. The elementals were the unfair for fair decks answer
@BinarySoloMTG Yeah, I think for tackling the suite of mono-g, Yawg and Kethis, Wizards are probably the best positioned aggro deck due to interaction, evasion and reach really mattering for all of those matchups
The nerfs to The One Ring and Orcish Bowmasters seem great for the long term health of historic. But feel way too late as the meta has already adapted with Mono G, Wizards, Kethis and Yawg Combo (will miss Bowmasters) all aren't particularly impacted and probably the best 4 decks
