@bethallisonbarr So they’ll create a list of women pastors, but the Houston Chronicle (not the SBC) has to assemble a list of predators and abusers, all b/c the SBC won’t violate “local church autonomy”…unless it’s for self-preservative liability reasons, in which case they will, privately.
If we are going to judge whether complementarianism is good or bad, we must look at what differentiates it from other Christian interpretations of marriage.
The only difference between complementarianism and egalitarianism is male authority and diminished female agency.
@katarmstrong1 Last November when I began visiting an Episcopalian church in Dallas. The lead pastor is a woman. I don’t remember her sermon but I do remember the indescribable joy of seeing a woman preach. She is wonderful and has taught me so much. I can’t go back to evangelism.
Today my smart, beautiful, and assertive daughter, Evie, turns TWO! I think she enjoyed spending her day with all the animals at aunt Kimberly’s house. 💕 https://t.co/b8F5Jkh0kB
Monday in Santa Fe. I went to Loretto Chapel to see the “miraculous staircase” and we drove to the top of a mountain. It was so beautiful. We got to see some snow and deer. https://t.co/dG2ZklzpwC

I loved watching Evie actually open her own presents this year. Also, she takes her books VERY seriously. I can’t tell you how much I love that she loves books. Happy Christmas! 🎄 https://t.co/P3nYhXRi9S
