So grateful for the opportunity to present at #CERME13 the emerging task design principles from my phd study supporting mathematics learning across primary-secondary transition.
Many thanks to my supervisors @grimesp3 and @eilishmclough for their constant support throughout.
Great meeting with STEM teachers from 🇮🇪 who with colleagues from 🇸🇮🇪🇵🇱 met in Ljubljana to discuss innovative ways of teaching physics & maths to school students. Thanks for very interesting presentations & warm welcome! @STAMPEdProject @pedagoska @CASTeL_DCU @DCUPhysics @DCU
@grimesp3 kicking off the the final conference of @STAMPEdProject at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Two days to focus on how Teacher Inquiry can improve transitions in Maths and Physics across EU schools. @EUErasmusPlus@DCU@JagiellonskiUni

An absolute honour to be part of the Irish contingent in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Tomorrow, we will present our Practioner Enquiry projects to other teachers from around the EU in @unilj@DCU@IrlEmbLjubljana@STAMPEdProject
Our professional learning community shared creative and inspiring projects looking at a broad range of topics across primary and secondary schools. A huge congratulations to all of our teachers on the great work over the last few months.
Darragh from @scoildara shared how he and colleagues support students to understand the core ideas in simultaneous equations providing a solid foundation for pupils as they progress in beyond 1st year
Shauna from St Laurence's NS, Sallins looked at word problems in her classroom. Shauna investigated how visualisation strategies support pupils in her classroom to solve these problems
Deirbhile from @sacredheartns looked at how using Universal Design for Learning supports her pupils to develop a conceptual understanding of fractions and helps them to become more confident using fractions
STAMPEd aims to support student learning in various transitions in maths and physics. Last night four of our teachers in Ireland shared their approaches to this. Their work will inform partners across Europe and our project outputs. Find out more about their projects below:👇🧵
