This afternoon, I joined worshippers at Covenant Church International in Narok East, where I urged religious leaders to continue praying for peace, unity and harmony as Kenya approaches next year’s General Election.
I shared Pope Leo XIV’s message of peace and goodwill, conveyed during my recent audience with him at the Vatican.
I highlighted the Maa community’s gains under the Kenya Kwanza administration and called for continued support for President William Ruto’s development agenda and re-election.
I also acknowledged the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s strong bond with the Maa community and urged residents to support the broad-based partnership he forged with President Ruto.
I further called for the protection of the Maasai Mara and the Maasai community’s rich cultural heritage, welcomed plans for an international airport to strengthen tourism, and commended the Government for recruiting 100,000 teachers in four years, with another 24,000 set to join public service.
