I see the evolution of AI tools as the following.

Stage 1 - Simple auto complete or auto suggest

Stage 2 - Generation of an output

Stage 3 - Generation of an output that is deterministically malleable

If you generate code, you can go in the IDE and edit it yourself manually. That’s deterministic. You change the value from X to Y.
