In 1944, 14,500 from the Cdn 3rd Inf Div stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Today, we recognize 80 yrs since Canada’s heroic efforts on Juno Beach.

They stood defiantly in the face of terror.

They are Canadian patriots and heroes.

They gave us our freedom.

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

Gunner Jonathan Dion was killed in Afghanistan on December 30, 2007. His light armoured vehicle struck a roadside bomb. He was going to return home to Canada just three months later.
