Mike Arnold Challenges Trump's Claim: Christian Genocide in Nigeria Far from Over
Former U.S. Mayor and Christian activist Mike Arnold has sharply criticized President Donald Trump's recent assertion that the United States has "largely ended" the Christian genocide in Nigeria. Arnold, a vocal advocate who has made multiple trips to Nigeria's displacement camps and front lines, warns that the situation remains dire and that the Trump administration is being misled.
In statements circulated on social media and interviews, Arnold argues that recent U.S. strikes primarily targeted ISIS-linked militants, leaving the Fulani militias whom he identifies as responsible for the majority of attacks on Christian communities untouched. "It's not true. And he's being played," Arnold stated. "The strikes hit ISIS. The Fulani militias who do most of the actual killing were never touched."
The U.S. recently withdrew most of its troops from Nigeria following a counterterrorism operation in the Lake Chad Basin area aimed at degrading Islamic State (IS) capabilities. U.S. officials described the mission as successful, with significant degradation of IS leadership. Trump linked the withdrawal to progress against violence targeting Christians.
Arnold, however, calls this premature and dangerous. He contends that the broader pattern of violence against Christians, involving mass killings, village destructions, church burnings, and displacement of millions persists. He points to ongoing neglect in IDP (internally displaced persons) camps, where victims, many of them widows and orphans from jihadist attacks, receive little government support. Without sustained pressure, he predicts escalation.
Arnold, founder of Africa Arise International, has long documented what he describes as systematic targeting of Christians in Nigeria's Middle Belt and beyond. He urges Americans to contact the White House and push for continued action, warning that declaring victory too soon could embolden perpetrators and undermine efforts to protect vulnerable communities.

In every organization, the institution is the ultimate authority. No matter how powerful an individual may be, he or she remains subject to the pronouncement of that authority.
In Igbo culture, this is similar to the Umunna. Once the Umunna stamps its decision on a matter, no matter your status or influence in society, the verdict stands.
The world has taken note of the decision of IPOB directorate of state. That is the difference between individual authority and institution’s authority.
Two things happened yesterday, Nnamdi Kanu made a pronouncement and DOS made pronouncement . But world care more about the pronouncement of an DOS more than individual .
That is why Institution is the world legalized authority of every society . When they speak the world listened .
URGENT WARNING TO IPOB FUND THIEVES AND CRIMINAL LAWYERS
You who stole, diverted, or pocketed Biafran donations, your game is over.
IPOB is NOT the Nigerian government. No immunity. No protection. You cannot loot the struggle and walk free like Abuja looters.
Recent revelations and expulsions have exposed everything: diverted funds, including over €45,000 from Italy, personal accounts, and sabotage.
Evidence is ready. bank trails, witnesses, transfers. In the UK, US, Italy, Germany and other countries where you hide: Police and agencies (FBI, etc.) will investigate fraud and money laundering.
Accounts frozen. Assets seized.
Arrests, extradition, and years in foreign jail.
Civil suits from angry Biafran donors demanding every kobo back.
No escape. No “struggle” excuse. Real rule of law awaits you abroad.
Return the money now or prepare for the reckoning. Justice is coming , and it will be brutal. just get ready to hate Mazi Chika Edoziem, Mazi Chinasa Nworu and all members of the @real_IpobDOS DOS more!! Because you'll see what it means to be whiter than white
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, reaffirmed the suspension of the Office of the Leader, and the position of the Director of Radio Biafra which was formerly held by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, now the ex-leader
The Directorate of State, DOS, led by Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem, has long taken over the responsibility for administering the organisation's affairs and overseeing its movement.
It declared that any criminal activity carried out in the name of the suspended office will no longer be blamed on the group, adding that “IPOB shall henceforward not be held accountable for actions of individuals or groups of Individuals not holding any active position within IPOB.”

@frankbalkazerg1 We are not meant to be like those we criticise. This hatred is heavily sponsored. Ask yourself: who benefits from this hatred? Certainly not Africans. 📌
@gaba_ye Malema’s reasoning is commendable, but he should also understand that immigrants did not come to South Africa 🇿🇦 solely to take low-paying jobs. A significant number of them are successful entrepreneurs and major employers who create jobs and contribute to South Africa’s economy.
They say his appearance is not convincing.
But this man is the brain behind so many successes in IPOB. Only his signature can settle all your immigration problems in any part of Europe. He speaks little, but his pen commands global attention. When he writes, important people listen. Ask IPOB members in Europe and in other parts of the world, they don’t joke with him, because he is a valuable asset to IPOB.
He may not look flashy or issue orders for people to be killed, as some of you might want. He is highly educated, intelligent, and diplomatic in handling difficult situations.
He is Mazi Chika Edoziem, the Head of the Directorate of States of IPOB.
This is one of the latest releases showing how Kanunta Kanu and Nnennaya Anya withdrew €45,000 in just 24 hours from IPOB’s account in Germany.
Frame 2 is the English translation of the transaction description.
For those demanding evidence for everything we’ve been saying, this dance has now reached a new level.
I told y'all before that we're not thanking this man enough, he's not getting enough flowers that he deserves,he has held the IPOB movement together in one piece since the absence of MNK.
We stand with the DOS led by Mazi Chika edoziem.
Thank u DOS!
Thank u Mazi Chika edoziem.
Islamisation of the East Has Started from Imo State
Imo State, once a beacon of enterprise and relative peace in Nigeria’s South-East, has undergone a troubling transformation under the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma. What began as a controversial Supreme Court declaration installing him as governor has, according to many residents and observers, evolved into a situation where the state appears increasingly accommodating to external forces, particularly Fulani herdsmen, at the expense of indigenous security and autonomy.
The most recent incident involved the burning of sections of the popular Eke Okigwe Market. While official accounts sometimes attribute such fires to accidents, local voices persistently link recurring violence in the Okigwe axis and other areas to activities of Fulani herdsmen. Reports of kidnappings, ransom demands, killings, and attacks on communities continue to surface, creating an atmosphere of fear.
Critics argue that the governor’s government has shown undue leniency toward these nomadic groups while indigenous populations face heavy-handed responses from security forces. Communities in areas like Oguta, Orlu, Orsu, and around Owerri have reported invasions, with allegations that ancestral lands are being encroached upon or allocated for grazing purposes. Similar concerns have been raised in other South-East states, with advocacy groups claiming hundreds of locations now host Fulani settlers.
Uzodimma’s administration points to infrastructure projects, road reconstructions, hospitals, and efforts to restore order as evidence of progress under its 3R Agenda (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Recovery). Supporters highlight reduced activities of unknown gunmen in some zones and developmental strides. However, critics counter that the governor’s loyalty appears tilted toward northern interests, describing him as “the hand of the North” in Igbo land. They allege that violence is sometimes sponsored or tolerated to undermine groups like IPOB/ESN, while Fulani elements receive protection.
Before Uzodimma’s tenure, Imo was not typically associated with the scale of farmer-herder clashes seen in the Middle Belt. Today, the narrative has shifted. Persistent kidnapping for ransom, market attacks, and community displacements have become distressingly common. Residents whisper of “first-class seats” given to Fulani settlers, including alleged access to sensitive areas and resources. Some reports even mention diplomatic engagements with Islamic nations raising eyebrows among a predominantly Christian population.
Advocacy organisations have accused South-East governors, including Uzodimma, of complacency or complicity in the face of what they term “jihadist Fulani” infiltration. While some claimes are contested, the ground reality, families mourning loved ones, markets razed, roads unsafe cannot be ignored.
The fear is no longer abstract. Many worry that if unchecked, this represents the thin end of a wedge: the gradual Islamisation of the East beginning in Imo State. Weapons and personnel, it is alleged, may already be prepositioned. The Igbo adage shared by the Ekere Ọrụ Eke rings apt: “Ndi Imo, ka anyị jiri nụ ehihie chụwa Ewu ojii maka na abalị o jikọta” let us chase the black goat while it is still daylight, before night falls.
Yet the lived experiences of many Imo indigenes tell a different story, one of bleeding communities and a governor accused of pampering foreigners while his people suffer.
This is not merely a security issue; it touches on identity, land, and survival. The people of Imo and the broader South-East must speak up without fear. Loyalty must be to the land and its indigenous owners, not external agendas. Hope Uzodimma and those aligned with him, critics say, need to be held accountable or shown the way out before the situation becomes irreversible.
DEATH OF BIG JOE UNDER THE GUISE OF XENOPHOBIC MADNESS
From every indication, it appears that the Nigerian Government has not done enough to secure effective reciprocity or bring an end to the recurring bloody xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa. The continued brazen assaults, extrajudicial killings, intimidation, and victimisation of our compatriots are both unacceptable and deeply troubling.
This is the time for Nigerian youths, civil society organisations, and all well-meaning citizens to rise to the occasion. The time is now. It is a settled fact that South Africa has sufficient business establishments operating in Nigeria.
We cannot continue to watch our compatriots being sent to early graves in the name of the xenophobic madness raging in South Africa under the tacit approval and protection of the South African state machinery. It was Big Joe yesterday; who can tell who the next victim will be? Yet, we pretend that all is well.
It is time we helped the Government, which is presently preoccupied with the 2027 elections, address this grave anomaly.
Enough of this madness. The lives and dignity of Nigerians matter.

IPOB Brasil Branch Declares Loyalty to Chika Edoziem’s Directorate, Rejects Nnamdi Kanu’s Leadership Moves
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) chapter in Brazil has issued a strong statement reaffirming its support for the Directorate of States (DOS) led by Chukwukadibia Edoziem, while rejecting announcements made by imprisoned leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Sokoto Prison.
In a formal declaration dated June 25, 2026, titled “Statements & Declarations on the Current Developments,” IPOB Brasil declared that it is “not being driven by emotion” and does not recognize the “so-called new DOS” announced by Kanu. The group accused Kanu’s announcement of being “tutored and lectured by the Biafrans’ high profile enemies” aimed at disrupting the Biafra restoration project.
The statement reads in part:
“We stand firmly with the real IPOB-DOS under the leadership of gentleman CHIKA EDOZIEM and vehemently opposed any effort by disgruntled, selfish individuals to undermine and demonize the good work being done by them.”
IPOB Brasil condemned “any actions or organised demonisation and blackmail” by opponents of the current DOS and endorsed the institutionalization of IPOB under democratic principles, calling for decentralization of power, checks and balances, and accountability. The chapter emphasized that “any government based on a monopolised power is tyrannical” and that “power corrupts and even absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
While expressing continued personal affection for Nnamdi Kanu, the Brazil chapter stated it would not allow his name to be used to “infiltrate and destroy this noble, Pacific Biafra struggle.” It explicitly reaffirmed its endorsement of the suspension of Kanu’s offices as IPOB Supreme Leader and Director of Radio Biafra, describing the move as necessary to prevent “clumsy, contaminated, ramshackled and wild informations being fomented by the enemies of Biafra self determination.”
The statement concludes by “redeclaring” loyalty to the DOS under Chika Edoziem and was signed by Prince Charles A. Okeke, National Coordinator of IPOB Brasil.
The position taken by IPOB Brasil represents a principled and timely intervention in the ongoing leadership crisis within the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). By firmly aligning with the Directorate of States (DOS) under Mazi Chika Edoziem, the Brazil chapter has underscored the importance of institutional discipline, democratic accountability, and the protection of the movement’s global image against internal sabotage and external manipulation.
A particularly critical concern raised implicitly in the statement and one that demands urgent attention is the growing danger posed by masked armed elements reportedly endorsing or acting in the name of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Such groups, appearing in videos brandishing weapons and issuing threats, risk being exploited by the Nigerian government and its propaganda machinery to paint the entire IPOB family as a violent or terrorist organization. This development threatens to dent the hard-earned reputation of the global IPOB movement, which has consistently projected itself as a peaceful, disciplined, and rights based self-determination struggle.
IPOB Brasil’s rejection of any “clumsy, contaminated” narratives emerging from prison communications, and its call for decentralization and checks and balances, serve as a safeguard against exactly these kinds of damaging associations. Unregulated armed posturing by self-proclaimed Kanu loyalists not only undermines the peaceful, democratic institutionalization the movement requires but also provides ammunition to enemies who seek to criminalize the broader Biafran cause.
By standing resolute with the legitimate DOS structure, IPOB Brasil has demonstrated leadership and foresight. Their declaration is not merely an expression of loyalty to one DOS but a defense of the integrity, unity, and long-term viability of the global IPOB family. In a struggle that depends heavily on international sympathy and diaspora support, maintaining a clear distinction between disciplined activism and reckless militarism is not optional, it is existential.
The Biafra restoration project must remain rooted in strategic wisdom, not emotion or infiltration. IPOB Brasil’s stance deserves the support of all genuine Biafrans who prioritize the success of the movement over personal allegiances. The future of Biafra depends on it.
