I’ve decided to redo my Stand Tier List!
This time around, I’m judging the Stands based on general design as well as how the ability is visually conveyed too.
Stands are organised from best to worst too, and will be divided into each part for simplicity. Hope u enjoy!
PART 3:
That’s what I love about this scene. You could interpret this scene as either or, and it can still work. It’s easy to see this as just a cute scene with Josuke and Yasuho, but this adds to the overall sense of nostalgia JoJolion gives me, and why it’s continued to do so.
Difference Between Memory and Emotion: 🧵
A big part of Josuke’s growth in the part is about how he truly has no memories. However, on rare occasions, it’s implied that his emotions from Kira and Josefumi might’ve carried over.
But going back to this moment, it’s possible that this could be one of Josuke’s only remaining ties to his creators. Perhaps this song drew emotions of nostalgia for either Kira or Josefumi. Or maybe he really make it up.
i wish jojo had more moments where characters just did daily routine things instead of being maimed all the time.
i would literally read a spinoff of my favourite guys going on a nice walk around the grocery store inbetween fights or something. take bruno bucciarati to the zoo
This is genuinely on the same level to me as the Wall Eyes or the Rokakaka.
If Crazy Diamond existence in JoJolion, Damo and Tōru would be all over that.
We don’t talk enough about how insane of a power this is for Crazy Diamond.
He’s somehow able to merge people with objects whilst still preserving their existence. He might even be making them immortal.
He can essentially make any organism he could think of!
I think Araki wrote himself into a corner where he didn’t want Hot Pants to fight along with Johnny and Gyro, but didn’t know how to explain her absence.
IMO having them two fight Valentine alone was for the best, but HP’s death was still hastily handled, it’s a shame…
This scene is an improved demonstration of who Jotaro is compared to the manga.
The way he looks around to see if there’s any more danger to her. His blunt but quiet appreciation for her help. The simple yet natural dialogue exchanged.
This is a punk with a heart of gold.
@aubergineman08 I’m a strong believer that many of Mamezuku’s problems would be resolved if he was revealed to be a rock human all along. It’d make him and the rock humans so much more interesting of characters.
But no, we got the much simpler explanation of all rock humans being bad…
I know he has his fans…
But Rai Mamezuku imo is one of the messiest characters Araki has written in recent years, and feels like massive missed potential for what he could’ve been.
@aubergineman08 I hate how cruel he comes off as to Yasuho especially.
In terms of his Stand I don’t mind it? But I would’ve preferred something more visually interesting that fits him. I’ve always imagined what if he could turn his body into plant vines? Something to match his botanic past :)
What I love about early Norisuke is he’s so goddamn EVIL for no reason!
Like we know he literally likes Josuke in the end, and this never goes anywhere in the future. So on reread, I can’t tell if this is a bad plot point to me or absolutely hilarious.
