TIDAL'S CHIEF TRADING OFFICER SAYS 2026 IS THE MOST COMPETITIVE YEAR HE'S EVER SEEN IN THE ETF BUSINESS
@JayPestrichelli sat down with our own @StockMKTNewz at Future Proof and covered a lot of ground.
On leverage:
"The SEC standing is, nope, we're not going to approve anything greater than 2x. I don't think we're going to see actual funds anytime soon that exceed the 2x number."
On prediction market ETFs:
"This feels a little bit to me like how crypto felt five years ago. The same will happen with prediction markets." His firm has already filed for a fund that can hold swaps on Fed funds contracts.
On AI investing:
"AI investing has been around forever. We just called it algorithms."
On what makes a fund survive:
"Is it going to make me money or save me money? Is it going to offload risk? Is it going to save me time? Or is it just kind of cool?" Funds that do none of those "don't last that long."
On the industry:
"ETFs are not snoozers. It feels like when the online brokerages came out in the late 90s."
MIN desperately needed to make a hire outside of the organization for a fresh perspective. Nolan is one of the best talent evaluators in the business. Paid his dues.
A well deserved opportunity.
Orange pick for the #Vikings makes Banks pick a lot more understandable. Orange fills NT while Banks plays more 5-Tech. I still have concerns with Banks but now he's allowed to play much more a role suited to his strengths.
All things considered I think the #Vikings over drafted Caleb Banks.
- career missed tackle rate ~25.5% one of the worst among DT prospects
- 10 solo tackles 7TFL in late break out 4th year
- repeat Foot Injury history at 6'5" 330+
- never played more than 422 snaps in a season
The Kyren Lacy situation really is sickening.
I saw someone say “this was a mistake by law enforcement”
With the technology we have in 2025, this was no mistake. This was a head scratching amount of corruption at the highest level. Credit to his lawyer for not letting it go…
I feel extremely bad for the way so many ppl failed Kyren Lacy. Accountability needs to had from DA to journalists and an Athletic department that didn’t stick by his side.
BREAKING: The late Kyren Lacy’s attorney, Matt Ory, unveiled surveillance clips and police body cam footage that confirm his client was INNOCENT and WRONGLY FRAMED for negligent homicide and hit-and-run following a 2024 car crash that took the life of 78-year-old Herman Hall 🚨
For the #Vikings , Kenneth Grant’s ability to eat up blockers and create chaos in the trenches at 340 lbs would supercharge their blitz-heavy scheme, making him a 1st Round option.
#NFLDraft
Leading up to the draft, going to empty my folders from clips of various prospects I've watched this cycle...
Starting with #Cincinnati RG Luke Kandra (#67), a heavy handed blocker that's sturdy in the run game. Like him as a potential backup at the NFL level.
