@sainsburys Thanks for yr reply, Astonished that Customer Services comments to me was “it’s not illegal” and they made no attempt to remove out of date bunches - or indeed the very dead ones. I regularly buy flowers from supermarkets but local Sainsbury’s is my very last point of call

@sainsburys Visited yr Beaconsfield store and picked up 4 bunches of tulips - suddenly saw they all had display-by date of 4th of February... Took to C/s desk to inform them and person there couldn’t care less. Noticed on way out there were roses dated sell-by 3rd Feb -

@sainsburys And frankly I don’t believer anything will be done by you - half the flowers there look dying or dead and your staff couldn’t give a toss - which is why I do my main shop in other supermarkets now.

@sainsburys Found another 2 bunches dated display by date 4\2 today. No Manager on hand so spoke to c/s desk who said “we can legally sell them”.. Err?? If you want to sell them remove display by date or reduce price. Don’t fob off customers with substandard flowers!!
