Taylor Swift is a decent songwriter, but I genuinely do not consider her anywhere close to BTS when it comes to songwriting. And I think we, as fans, seriously need to get louder about BTS’s talent.

Because while other artists have an enormous publicity machine constantly reinforcing the idea that they are the greatest writers of their generation, BTS’s actual artistic and songwriting talent is still not discussed nearly enough. Fame has a way of turning a narrative into fact.

And I’m sorry, but I cannot look at BTS’s body of work: the range, the depth, the storytelling, the different voices and perspectives and automatically accept Taylor Swift as the superior songwriter. I just can’t.

We need to talk about BTS’s talent louder.

What being a leader means to Namjoon.

🐨:I think a leader is is just like this for example everybody is on the lying on the couch and the window is open and it's too cold. So, somebody has to close it. But nobody wants to because it's too comfy here lying on the couch. It's so annoying. If a one single person has to stand up and get off the couch and walk a few steps to close the door, then I think that's what a leader does for every part of the team. That's all. [laughter].
