TX Governor Greg Abbott Abbott is responding to DFW plans to install ablution (foot wash) facilities for Muslims by ordering reviews.

Abbott has ordered a review of every state grant awarded to organizations that run Texas airports—including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

The review will consider revoking existing grants and blocking any future funding because of alleged illegal religious discrimination at these publicly owned facilities.

He has also referred both airports to the U.S. Department of Transportation for investigation and possible enforcement action.

DFW intends to add ablution facilities for Islamic ritual washing, while IAH has already installed one such facility along with an adjoining prayer room.

In a letter to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Abbott asked the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration to promptly examine the religious facilities and accommodations at DFW and IAH and take any necessary corrective steps.

As recipients of federal funds, the airports must fully comply with anti-discrimination laws.

By accepting any grant, recipients certify that they will obey all statutes prohibiting discrimination.

For the first time in 16 years, the United States has carried out three executions by lethal injection in a single day.

Alabama: Jeremy Williams was executed for the 2021 r*pe and murder of a 5-year-old girl.

On the gurney, he said: “I want to thank God for forgiving me for my sins so I can meet him in peace.”

Williams offered the girl’s mother $2,500 to r*pe 5-year-old Kamarie Holland. He filmed the attack and strangled her.

Oklahoma: Carlos Cuesta-Rodriguez was executed for murdering his girlfriend in 2003.

He told a board he didn’t want clemency.

Tennessee: Anthony Darrell Hines was executed for stabbing Catherine Jean Jenkins, a motel maid, to death in 1985.
