🚨 77 BAGS OF RUBBISH! JUST LET THAT SINK IN! 🚨
Last night, I came across a post which I shared, but I still cannot quite believe what I was reading.
The amazing Chelmsford Wombles, alongside all the wonderful volunteers who joined them, went out litter picking around Melbourne in Chelmsford and collected a staggering 77 BAGS OF RUBBISH, alongside a huge amount of fly-tipped waste!
I’ve looked at the area they covered, and we’re talking roughly ONE SQUARE MILE!
77 bags of rubbish from such a small area. Absolutely disgraceful!
Firstly, massive respect to Chelmsford Wombles and every single volunteer who gave up their time to clean up our community. You’re doing an incredible job, and you deserve so much recognition. 👏❤️
But seriously, what on earth has happened to people’s respect for where they live?
When I used to walk around Melbourne highlighting the litter and rubbish everywhere, people would accuse me of exaggerating or making things up.
Well, I wasn’t making it up then, and I’m certainly not making it up now!
Parts of Melbourne have been treated like a dumping ground for far too long, and something needs to change.
People need to take responsibility. Stop dropping litter, stop fly-tipping and start respecting the neighbourhoods where families live, children play and people walk their dogs.
We cannot keep expecting volunteers to spend their weekends clearing up after people who simply couldn’t care less.
77 bags from roughly one square mile. Think about how much rubbish must be lying around the rest of Chelmsford!
We can do better than this. We MUST do better than this.
And once again, a massive thank you to Chelmsford Wombles and every volunteer who took part. You’re an absolute credit to the community! ❤️
Well, look what’s just come through my letterbox this morning! 📰
The first edition of Reform UK’s newspaper, The Reformer.
Obviously, I’ll give it a read, although I’m really not interested in getting involved in politics at the moment. I’ve got other things I want to focus my time and energy on.
However, there’s something I do want to address.
I’ve heard reports of Royal Mail posties receiving abuse for delivering these newspapers through people’s doors.
Can I just remind everyone that your local postie is simply doing their job!
This is paid-for material being delivered. Your postie hasn’t written it, they haven’t chosen the content, and delivering it doesn’t mean they support the political party behind it.
Whether you support Reform UK, another political party, or none of them is entirely your business.
If you don’t want to read it, recycle it. Do whatever you wish with your copy.
But please, DO NOT take your political frustrations out on the hardworking Royal Mail staff who are simply doing their jobs.
There’s absolutely no excuse for abusing someone who’s just trying to earn a living.
A little respect goes a long way! ❤️

🚨 Serious Collision in Chelmsford – Witnesses Needed
Sad news coming out of Chelmsford this weekend.
A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a collision involving a car on Parkway, near the Army and Navy roundabout, at around 8pm on Saturday evening (24 October).
The pedestrian was taken to hospital, and Essex Police are now asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward.
If you were driving through the area on Saturday evening, please check your dashcam footage. Even something that seems insignificant could help piece together what happened.
📞 When contacting Essex Police, quote reference 1119 of 24 October.
Sending my thoughts and best wishes to the injured pedestrian and their loved ones. ❤️

🚮 Driving along the A12 today, I was shocked by the miles and miles of rubbish lining the roads.
When did Britain become one giant rubbish tip? 🇬🇧
Why should volunteers risk their lives clearing it?
Where’s the pride and respect for our country?

It’s going to be one of THOSE days with George! 😂🐶
20 minutes trying to walk him and we’ve barely left the house! He’s point-blank refusing to move! 🤦♀️
They missed their walk yesterday, so I really need to get them out. George has other ideas! 😂❤️

🏄♀️🌍 Help me create my 2027 paddleboarding bucket list!
Where’s the best river or lake you’ve paddled in the UK? 🇬🇧
And the best place abroad? 🌍
I’m turning 40 in December and want 2027 to be full of adventures!
Drop your recommendations below! ❤️
❤️ My two new Remembrance poppy pins have just arrived in the post, and I absolutely love them!
I’ve got my little 2026 poppy, which I’ll be adding to my bag alongside my 2025 one, which I still proudly wear.
But I must say, I’m particularly fond of the larger, sparkly poppy. It’s absolutely beautiful, and I’ll be wearing it with pride.
As always, for me, it will only ever be a red poppy. No other colour. ❤️
We will remember them. ❤️
Chelmsford City Centre Today
I was quite surprised to see this stall set up in the middle of Chelmsford today.
I appreciate that everyone has the right to express their views peacefully, and I fully respect freedom of speech. However, I do question whether the town centre is the appropriate place for campaigns involving such sensitive and divisive international issues.
Personally, I feel that displays like this can contribute to division within our communities, rather than bringing people together.
I’m also concerned about young children being exposed to political messaging when they’re simply out shopping with their families.
I’d be interested to know whether Chelmsford City Council has given permission for this stall and what guidelines are in place for political campaigning in our pedestrianised town centre.
What are your thoughts? Should political campaigning of this nature be taking place in the heart of Chelmsford?
I’d genuinely welcome a respectful discussion.
🌺 What a beautiful sight in Chelmsford today! ❤️
I was walking through Chelmsford town centre this morning when I came across this wonderful band playing, surrounded by beautiful red poppies in preparation for Remembrance Day.
I just had to stop, listen and take it all in. The music was absolutely beautiful, and it was such a lovely atmosphere. ❤️
Seeing the red poppies appearing everywhere is such a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who served our country, including those who gave their lives so that future generations could enjoy the freedoms we have today.
It’s so important that we never forget their courage, their service and their sacrifice.
A huge thank you to the wonderful musicians and everyone involved in bringing this beautiful display of remembrance to Chelmsford today.
Sometimes it’s the unexpected moments that really make you stop and appreciate things. This was certainly one of them. ❤️
We will remember them. 🌺
Lest we forget.

❤️ UNITED IN ESSEX – BRAINTREE TODAY! ❤️
I would absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be in Braintree today supporting Shell and ESSEX UNITES ! ❤️
Unfortunately, for reasons that I cannot discuss publicly, I’m unable to attend. I’m really disappointed, as I would have loved to stand alongside everyone and see the community coming together.
I’m really hoping that in the future I’ll be able to attend one of Shell’s community safety talks or her next peaceful get-together.
I do want to say something important to everyone attending today.
Please be mindful that there may be individuals attending to counter who are looking to provoke a reaction or cause disruption. Whatever happens, DO NOT ENGAGE.
Stay peaceful. Stay respectful. Stay calm. Don’t allow anyone to distract from the purpose of today’s gathering.
And most importantly, please respect Shell and her team and the marshals.
This woman works absolutely tirelessly to protect her community and raise awareness. Over the last year and a half, she has achieved so much, and I know how much time, energy and dedication she puts into everything she does.
She works incredibly hard to ensure everything is organised properly and responsibly.
She’s a wonderful, wonderful person, and I’m genuinely grateful to have connected with her. ❤️
COLCHESTER, BRAINTREE AND CHELMSFORD – FULLY UNITED! 🤝
We have representation from Chelmsford attending today, and I want everyone to know that Colchester, Braintree and Chelmsford are united.
We’re in constant communication, supporting one another, sharing information and working together.
Community unity is so important, and it’s wonderful to see people supporting each other across Essex.
And if you’ve been thinking about going today but you’re sitting on the fence, PLEASE GO! ❤️
Go and show your support. Go and meet like-minded people. Go and have conversations, make connections and be part of a community that genuinely cares.
Sometimes just turning up and showing your support can make such a difference. You might even make some wonderful new friendships along the way!
I’ll be watching all the live streams today, cheering everyone on from a distance!
My support is absolutely there, even if I can’t be there in person.
To everyone attending, please look after yourselves, look after one another and remember:
PEACEFUL. RESPECTFUL. UNITED. ❤️
And Shell, thank you for everything you do. You really are one in a million!
ESSEX IS UNITED! ❤️
🐾🌧️ I can safely say George did NOT want to go out for his lunchtime walk today! 😂
He was stopping at every opportunity, refusing to walk, and I ended up carrying him three-quarters of the way round! 🙈
At one point, I put him down and let him off his lead to see if he’d have a little wander on the grass. Oh no, absolutely not! He started running towards home, then decided to stop walking again! 😂🐾
I’m beginning to think he doesn’t like wearing his coat, so I really do need to invest in some properly fitted winter coats for my two sausages!
The trouble is, they’d both been getting restless indoors, and we all know what it’s like being stuck in the house when it’s raining!
Personally, I absolutely love getting outside in the fresh air, even when it’s raining. There’s something quite refreshing about it! 🌧️🍂
George, however, has other ideas. He absolutely HATES getting his little feet wet! Ralph isn’t nearly as bothered and is usually quite happy to plod along. ❤️
Two dachshunds, two completely different personalities!
Does anyone else have a dog that acts like you’re committing a crime by taking them out in the rain? 😂🐶

I think this is absolutely outrageous and deeply disrespectful.
As many of you will remember, Sir David Amess MP was tragically murdered in Southend in October 2021 while carrying out a constituency surgery, meeting with the very people he had dedicated his life to representing.
I’ve now seen claims that an individual known as “Angry Jesus” filmed himself spitting at a statue commemorating Sir David Amess.
If this footage is genuine, I find that behaviour absolutely disgusting. Regardless of your political beliefs, surely we can all agree that a murdered MP and his grieving family deserve some basic human decency and respect?
I also understand that this same individual is involved in organising a counter-demonstration in Braintree tomorrow.
People are entitled to protest peacefully and express their opinions, but that doesn’t mean their conduct should be beyond public scrutiny.
I think this raises serious questions about respect, decency and the standards of behaviour we should expect from those involved in public demonstrations.
💧 Hang on a minute… we STILL have a hosepipe ban?! 🤯
Apparently, Storm Austin could finally bring an end to the hosepipe ban!
Am I the only person who had absolutely NO idea it was still in place?!
We’ve had so much rain recently that I haven’t even needed to use my hosepipe. But imagine if I had, completely unaware that the ban was still in force!
God forbid I’d been watering the garden and ended up getting a knock at the door! 😂
I genuinely cannot believe that after all this rain, we’re still under hosepipe restrictions!
Did anyone else know the hosepipe ban was still in place, or have I been living under a rock?! 😂
✨ Have you ever experienced a post-adrenaline comedown?
That sudden emotional and physical crash after a period of intense adrenaline, excitement, stress or anxiety?
I’m curious to hear about other people’s experiences.
💬 Have you experienced this? How did it make you feel?

💪 Kettlebells – One of My Gym Favourites! 🏋️♀️
Every single time I go to the gym, I make sure I incorporate kettlebells into my workout!
The great thing about kettlebells is that you don’t even need a gym membership to use them. They’re fantastic for home workouts too!
💪 Full-body workout – Work multiple muscle groups, including your arms, shoulders, back, legs and core.
⚖️ Balance & stability – Brilliant for improving coordination, stability and body control.
🔥 Core strength – A strong core is essential for paddleboarding, especially when maintaining balance on the water.
🏋️♀️ Strength & endurance – Helps build the strength and stamina needed for longer paddling sessions.
❤️ Cardiovascular fitness – Certain kettlebell exercises can also get your heart pumping!
🏄♀️ Perfect for paddleboarding!
For me, kettlebell training isn’t just about getting stronger or fitter. It’s about improving my performance on the paddleboard. A strong core, good balance and upper-body strength make such a difference when you’re out on the water.
I absolutely love exercises that benefit both my general fitness and my paddleboarding adventures!
And the best part? You can get a fantastic workout with just one kettlebell! 💪
