@A_Elliott_ We enjoyed having your Dad & Mum as neighbours. Had lots of good times. I enjoyed visiting on the back deck with him, where we would chat and ‘sort out’ the world’s problems. RIP Lord Hazeldean
A few weeks ago, I RT Major John Aren of the Chicago Staff Band serenading his neighbours. He caught the virus and was in hospital. Here’s his good news story on a Chicago TV station.
This is Major John Aren of the Chicago Staff Band. Each night he serenades his neighbours from his balcony. Those who know him will agree he’s a great believer in ministry, and this is so typical of John. #COVID19
@SalvArmyArchive@johnaren I heard her play at the Irish Congress when I was a lad. Certainly a groundbreaker in the S A as well as the orchestral field. #RoleModel
@AlanSpeed7 Sorry to hear the news that one of the Munich survivors, Harry Gregg, has passed away. One of Northern Ireland’s famous 1958 World Cup team.
@AlanSpeed7 2 Ulstermen were survivors. Jackie Blanchflower (who never played again) and the great Harry Gregg. Walked through the Munich Tunnel at Old Trafford last month. Always a poignant moment. #NornIron
Another fabulous weekend of music making @RNCMvoice Brass Band Festival. Kudos to @pehindmarsh for excellent programming and to the bands and soloists for marvellous performances. #topbanding
@fodensband kicks off this year’s @RNCMvoice Brass Band Festival with a superb concert this evening. Highlighted by a stunning performance of John Pickard’s monumental work, ‘Eden’. #topbanding
