Here I worked deep into the process to distill that Healthcare in Tier 2 & Tier 3 India cannot be built by simply copying metro hospital models.
The realities are different: • Demand is delayed and price-sensitive • Trust matters more than branding • Super-specialists remain concentrated in a few cities • Government payer mix shapes sustainability • Prevention matters as much as intervention
India doesn’t need smaller versions of metro hospitals. It needs healthcare systems designed specifically for the communities they serve.
