Many think Catholicism is the ancient church. The apostles would never do or allow this sort of idolatrous behavior. Never.

The issue with claims to originality and an unchanged tradition within either Catholicism or Orhodoxy is that they are full of changed traditions and practices. They just try to pretend these things go back to the apostles when they don’t. It’s very much the same as the Pharisees of Jesus’ day. The Pharisees had a host of traditions and practices that at times conflicted with Scripture. So, to buffer against complaints they just said that an unwritten “oral tradition” connected all their teachings to Mount Sinai. It was just unwritten tradition and if you wanted real ancient Judaism you had to follow their lead. Jesus blew that out of the water! They were just inheriting slowly developed traditions of man and calling them ancient and authoritative. Jesus appealed to Scripture to trump them.

This Protestant will remain Protestant.

I feel sad for Ellen Page as she needs to submit to reality and realize she was never in the wrong body. Truth will set her free.

At the same time, she is a spokesperson for trans ideology and she is influencing tons of other people into the same self-destruction she has done to herself.

So the holder of the lie needs to be delivered but she is also a spreader of the lie and for the sake of others must be openly rebutted.

The argument she makes here seems to be that animals don’t recognize trans people as a problem therefore humans are strange in the fact that we do. Here are other things animals don’t recognize as problems, generally…

3. Oppression
4. Theft
5. Fraud
6. Serial Killers
7. People who leave their shopping carts in front of your car
8. Politicians
9. Pooping everywhere
10. Peeing everywhere
11. Eating barf
12. Obsessively licking open wounds

Society should celebrate heterosexuality, monogamy, traditional gender roles, discipline for children, healthy bodies, fear of God, and humility.

Today, especially in left leaning individuals, the opposite of each of these is celebrated.

Instead of heterosexuality people celebrate everything else (LGB)

Instead of monogamy people celebrate promiscuity and cohabitation and treat divorce like it’s self-discovery.

Instead of traditional gender roles people celebrate the intentional deconstruction of them and the delusional lies of trans ideology (cue people in the comments pretending trans ideology doesn’t exist).

Instead of discipline for children people celebrate gentle parenting, leading to unruly youth and irresponsible adults.

Instead of healthy bodies people have “healthy at any size” influencers dropping dead at an alarming rate.

Instead of the fear of God we have rage at God. God is seen as not measuring up to the 1st world expectations of modern sarcasm and entitlement.

Instead of humility there are pride parades.

No small tweak will fix this. A whole worldview change is needed in the lives of a society. They need to see that what they love is destructive and what they disregard as outdated is the needed foundation for a good society.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter” (Matthew 7:21).

Scripture is clear that not everyone who claims to be in Christ is actually in Christ. There are many who profess Christ with their mouths, but their hearts are far from him.

And how do we know? Because they don’t do what he says!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

Instead of loving Christ as he’s commanded—with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—many of these professing Christians turn God’s grace into an excuse to sin, and so encourage others to do so.

“For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:4).

These people will quote the Bible, claim they love God, attend church, and seem very winsome or charming on the outside, but inside they are ravenous wolves seeking to destroy the flock of God.

Now, of course, none of us can see the heart (the inside), but we can listen to what people say and watch the fruit that comes from their lives (and Jesus defines “good fruit” as obedience). So we take what people say and what they do and compare it against the authority of Scripture to see if it is true and if that person is someone we should listen to, follow, or—well—preach the gospel to!

Of course, we do both of these things every day at @AiG, and we produce resources to equip you so you can turn around and equip your children and those around you. And if you’re someone who holds a position where you get to teach and influence others, it’s vital you are doing the same!

We must raise up generations who know how to think biblically and who know what they believe and why they believe it.

You know what shook me when I was Muslim?

The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.

She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.

And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.

To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.

I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?

Then I realized I was the wife.

I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.

And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”

He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”

That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.

He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.

Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.

Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.

The cross was Him naming the price.

Praise the Lord.
