Also could this dream of Olivia reaching out for her sister’s hand/help be a sign that she needs Janet in her life to survive and save her from her own internal argument about what to do after finding her father’s will and marriage certificate? #tmot31

The term “auto-da-fé” refers to the burning of a heretic by the Spanish Inquisition. In Ellis’s case here in #tmot26 he was having second thoughts about what he proposed he saw and didn’t want to be the cause of Sandy’s “auto-da-fé.”
Ellis is being a true gentleman here by fulfilling the phrase “if you love something, set it free.” He loves Clara, but is willing to give her up by doing the right thing and exposing Tom to help save Sandy. #tmot26#TeamEllis
arrogate (v): take or claim (something) without justification
scalawag (n): a person who behaves badly but in an amusingly mischievous rather than harmful way; a rascal

@HuskyShashank I totally agree with you and think that would be an appropriate response if Jerry lived in the 21st century, but due to his situation and everything going on with the future election, I think Jerry was more concerned with his safety than trying to promote his race #tmot28
This is the 2nd time Ellis did not directly answer questions asked to him (1=Mrs. Ochiltree). Could this be that he did not know what to reply? Or was he trying to protect those he loves by not wanting to say the wrong thing? He is truly a man of few words. #tmot16#TeamEllis
How I’d feel if Clara doesn’t drop Tom soon for Ellis. Ellis has done nothing accept to try and protect Clara (especially in #tmot16 when he closed drunken Tom’s door). But Tom is just a financially careless and jealous man who does not truly care about Clara as a person.
