Hate to break it but it’s been like this for all years past.

Options are:

1. Submit a support ticket with @googlecalendar. They fixed this issue for iOS but not Android. The more they hear from users, the more they’ll prioritize it.

2. Ask a friend to use theirs and buy em a beer 🍻

We covered this in our post — new subscriptions aren’t supported by Android natively. You need to subscribe on desktop and sync on mobile. We don’t make the rules 🤷🏽‍♀️

Google Connect, an upgrade feature, uses gCal’s API, which costs $ — hence an upgrade.

There is no commission and no bad guys here.

1. Android doesn’t support new calendar subscriptions — all Androids use Google OS. https://t.co/EfTXBZ2lRB….

You can download on desktop and sync with mobile for free.

Upgrade plan is to bypass this restriction — why? Because it costs $ for integrating with gCal’s API.

2. Downloading a calendar is as simple (and free) as the video attached. Takes <30s

We’re updating the UI to make this a one-click process.

Guys — if you’re seeing that modal, you’ve subscribed to over 2 calendars. You can always delete a calendar to subscribe to a new one. We make it as easy as one click.
