@B11OYS only whitefish and has to be done in a way salmon are not caught or can be let go alive. Basicially no one is fishing except to feed a few dogs. No real winters food is being put up.
Here is the link to purchase and play the just out “Stan Project” film documentary:

Hope you enjoy. Both the documentary and the book were long term products of hard work by two past filmmakers of the 7 season TV reality show “Yukon Men”,
@LundeMaggi@YouTube talking pemmican? Fat/dried meat busted or ground up - melted together, first tender the fat into a liquid when hot, use fall grizzly bear fat, moose/beef works. Then take some dried moose meat. Traditionally this was pounded and chopped onto a pulp or coarse powder.
@LundeMaggi@YouTube The year I ran the Iditarod sled dog race I ate these all the way and it was the best food for trapping in the cold I ever knew. I would eat one and start working hard and could just feel the warmth in my body.
@LundeMaggi@YouTube let it cool enough that when you cut it with a knife into cubes it doesn’t melt together again then let it cool all the way. Finally bust the cubes apart and you got an incredible high calorie food for travel in the coldest weather.
