I know it has been almost two years since I last released an album. I gotta say this is the best I have ever done and the most proud I’ve ever been of my music. There was a long while where I didn’t want to write and record. I got to a point where I was scared to tell my truth and instead of writing about it I ran away from it. Until I was finally ready for that chapter to end and start a new one. Scared of Heights is the chapter of my life where I didn’t believe in myself and struggled with self worth. I’ve had to relearn how to love myself and others. Through this process I started writing again and this time it felt different…I knew I was headed in a direction I’ve always wanted to go but never been. I surprised myself by making this album. My fears are still with me but I’m learning they do not control me. I hope y’all find something to take with you on this new journey. Album out July 31 and Half The Man out Friday

I know I’ve been teasing this new album all year long and I can’t wait to tell yall a lot more about it very very soon. Thank y’all for the paitence. I’ve never been more excited about a project or cared more about a batch of songs than what’s fixing to come y’all’s way. And I know I’ve been fairly quiet on all that side of things but that’s about to change. Runnin’ On E and Drive All Night are both two of my favorites and are very much in the same vein that a good part of this album lives in. But this album truly does have a song for everyone and does go all over the place as all my projects always have and I can’t wait to start showing more of that to y’all. Half The Man is one of those. It’s one of the most “country” songs I’ve ever written and I knew that the day I wrote it. I’ve always wanted a song that captures both what a great job my parents did for me and continue to do, and that feeling of never feeling like I’ll be able to fill those shoes. I can’t wait to get this one out to y’all. This album and this song specifically are about the truest to myself I’ve ever felt when it comes to music. Hope yall have a great weekend and I’ll see yall real soon with some real big news!
I’ve been blessed to be raised by the best parents in the world. The people that surround our family who have raised me are some of the most down to earth people you could ever meet. All my life I’ve aspired to live like them and be like them. There’s been times when I’ve been so far from home that I start to lose myself, and the sacrifices I have made were never easy but part of this crazy career. Missing the birthdays, weddings, graduations, and even the small hangouts on weekends and watching the young ones get older. I’ve always felt like I’ve come up short from who I’m supposed to be, but the goal is to never give up on the dream of living up to that expectation. I’ve never been more proud of a song I’ve written. This one’s called Half The Man
Happy 27th birthday to the talented Sabrina Carpenter.
