This has been circulating for a while, and I don’t know if they completed a proof. Personally, I don’t care about existence at all since there is no sane person that would doubt it, but I am VERY interested in the infrared limit of three dimensional electrodynamics because this is an actual open problem for physicists. It seems that this is not being discussed, but only the topic of existence is discussed. I guess the infrared limit of QED3 may require solving the sign problem.

@nblqbl @Kaju_Nut You're right, thank you! I agree with the kinds of problems you have listed above. From what I have seen, AI certainly speeds up the work and finds out errors in a messy calculation quickly. So it should be atleast possible to have a large part of the problem under our belts.

@nblqbl @Kaju_Nut Do you think this might also affect how institutions hire PhD students? Or say, someone who just finished their PhD and looking for postdocs? From what I know places somehow prefer fresh PhDs who may have higher number of papers. Would love to know your take on this.
