Prime 2 is really weird. it's not as well designed as Prime 1, but it's very different and i appreciate that about it. I'm glad they didn't try to follow up one of the tightest gaming experiences out there with something better, and instead made a Metroid game unlike any other.

SotN is def the first true Metroidvania in the Castlevania series, but it owes a TON to the foundation that Simons Quest built. So while it came out later, SotN's game design can be traced back to Castlevania games that came out around the same time as Metroid 1 and Super.
