@KiraSpiral this and they tend to be SUPER difficult to get into in the first place. people need to realize most of us are 1 bad day away from homelessness and it's not just people not applying themselves
i was an honors student most of my life until i had some pretty severe mental health issues that messed with my grades, and during that time "c's get degrees" was the only thing helping me through school
c's get degrees is mostly a thing because some courses are genuinely difficult for a person so if the best thing they can get is a c... well. c's get degrees. i'm sure they're actually trying, but not everyone's got the same skillset
no shade, that whole “C’s get degrees” mindset is so weird to me. that’s the reason folks get passed up for scholarships and no grad school is looking for that mindset
someone pointed out how this is a nihilistic anthem and it’s so obvious when you analyze the lyrics but stantwt will be dead serious and call this “ai slop Dubai chocolate labubu music”
One day, he invited me out to dinner and told me that he had separated from his wife. Sure, it was kind of sad — I even knew her, and she was really nice. But at the time, I genuinely convinced myself that maybe this meant I could finally be with him now.
I told him dozens of times that I loved him and that I would do absolutely anything for him. And I did. Whenever other people in our shared circles insulted me or spread lies about me, I stayed quiet in order to preserve the “harmony,” as he called it. Once, I even lied publicly because he threatened to cut off contact with me otherwise.
Back then, I kept telling myself that all of this must somehow be right. Surely he knew what was best. He was the greatest.
