she didn't say a word. she simply let him hold her, giving him all the time he needed to grieve.

Tears ended up leaving his eyes as he felt her arms embrace around him as he then held her wrists as she spoke, leaning against her as he had a small smile but, he was crying. But.. tears of both joy and grief.

she said nothing more. instead, she quietly wrapped her arms around him, offering a gentle embrace in the hope of bringing him a little comfort.

“You are right.. they would not want that. But.. I keep thinking about them every day.. about how grateful i was for them. And.. I hope i am making them proud..”

A teary voice was heard as he sniffled. As much as he hated losses, she could tell how much she cherished them.

“ i understand... losing those you care about is never easy. ”

her expression softened.

“ but... i don't think they would want you to remain trapped in your grief. they'd want you to keep living, and to find happiness again... even if it's difficult. ”

The astronaut never really did well with loss, especially when it came to people he was close to. But, he was grieving still.. though he looked to Aster after she spoke.

“It is just.. hard. Without them here..”

she stood beside him, though he wasn't sure when she had arrived. her gaze rested quietly on the headstones.

she turned to look at him and gently patted his shoulder.

He was seen at a cemetery, watching over the four headstones of the comrades he lost years ago.. even before joining Overwatch. Their deaths still haunt him in some way, but he visits them when he can.

He didn’t expect to have company though.
