JUST IN: The Quezon City government has announced today, 21 August, that the Infinity Massage Spa on E. Rodriguez Avenue is temporarily closed, following the detection of mpox in a male who visited the spa.
Additionally, the spa was found to be lacking business, sanitary, and environmental permits, and fire inspection clearance, prompting its closure. | via PNA
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said they held contact tracing for the 33-year old mpox patient as he went to two establishments in QC, including a derma clinic and a massage spa in E. Rodriguez, QC.
They also ordered closure of the spa as it has expired permits.
