T-Mobile wants you to think there's nothing to see here, but there's actually a lot:

-The 24-month phone financing option is no more, 36 months will now be standard for ALL new customers.

-Starting August 6, new "2.0" versions of all postpaid plans (Experience and Essentials) will replace the current ones, and these new plans do NOT support 24-month financing, even for device upgrades. This means that if T-Mobile decides that future device promos only apply to the 2.0 plans, you can no longer get a device promo over 24 months.

-These changes also apply to T-Mobile's new student discount plans.

-There are 2 options for what will be the new standard agreement period of 36 months: EIP Flex 36 and EIP Standard 36. Flex lets you finance everything, including taxes on the device, over 36 months with no down payment. In the press release, T-Mobile says 0% APR will be offered for Flex 36 "for a limited time." This could mean T-Mobile could add interest to the device loan in addition to the already-required paired T-Mobile plan. Standard 36 is the same as before, meaning down payments and upfront taxes may apply, but over 3 years instead of 2.
