The ability to lead your friends will cost something. Their ego. Your intimacy or their friendship altogether. You can’t be both their leader and friend all the time and that’s where lines get blurred. The difference is, they have to know where their line is.

Can you lead your friends to being better leaders alongside you? Seems near impossible for most. The proximity of relationship blurs the lines.

Sometimes, just to be acknowledged for what you do could make all the difference in the way you lead and care for others. Is this selfish leadership? No, I think it’s teaching others how to honor up and learn a heart of gratitude behind every organization.
