I don't know how to word this correctly or express it without it being misinterpreted...but is it just me who feels uncomfortable when people say things like, “You wouldn’t be where you are without us” or “We made you rich”?
Of course, as fans, we have supported them by buying albums and merchandise, streaming their music, attending concerts, and contributing to their success in many ways. That support matters, and it’s fair to feel disappointed or to want the members to acknowledge the hurt people gone through as a result of their choice.
But it should not be used as leverage to imply that they owe us a statement, a response, or accountability on our terms. Saying “we made you” turns every form of support into a form of ownership, as though financial contributions give us authority over their choices or obligate them to speak whenever we demand it.
We can believe that they should address a situation without saying, “We made you rich, so you owe us.” Those are two very different things.
Accountability should come from recognizing the impact of a situation not from treating your support as a debt that must be repaid.
Some people seem to be losing sight of the actual issue too by turning the conversation into a competition over who supported them first, who spent the most, or who has the right to demand a response. This isn’t about proving who is the most loyal fan. It’s about discussing the situation itself without using our support as a reason to claim ownership over them.
from one art lover to another, i genuinely hope that as rm reflects on what it means to be an artist in this digital age, he considers the impact of AI on the artistic process. he's always championed art as a mean of connection; the widespread prevalence of ai threatens that
y’all are losing the plot and making up conspiracies, which is just making you more upset. you can want them to address the situation w/o assuming they want a predominantly male or homophobic fan base. why do y’all think they support homophobia? have y’all not listened to them
No offense to you Kpop stans, but if you hate Michael, why are you lurking on mjtwt just to make fun of him and then cry when people drag you for it? Kpop’s entire existence is built on ripping off Black American music, especially Motown and Michael Jackson, remember that.
