The only people claiming AI is inevitable in gamedev are those that value how cheap and fast a game can be made, above all else.
I value quality. Games made with passion and soul. AI is not inevitable. Don't let the bastards grind you down.
Once again, another great example of the ongoing failure of AI generative software.
This looks "good" for those of us who are not familiar with papercraft. It seems correct. There are parts! And cut lines! and a key, and a little image of the completed cute cow.
But for anyone who is experienced with the hobby, it's clearly terrible. Flat legs, they don't have sides as shown in the "completed" image. They're huge, but not on the "completed" image.
The head and body are both cubes, but not in the "completed" image.
The body isn't even a complete cube, the top and bottom are the wrong shape. Cubes have 4 sides, a top and bottom. But this one has 5 sides!
Anyway - we've seen this in the clothing patterns examples, we've seen this in the floorplan architecture examples. They look convincing to people not in the industry. But they don't go the distance. And that's a problem.
@glgrthm hahah I like that attitude! But rn I'm in a "I wanna do it myself" kind of mindset, anyways provided I'm looking for some cool low-poly assets in the near future I'll have you in mind :P
I am stepping away from the ps5 scene and stopping all my work on ps5 linux.
After pouring my heart and months of my life into it, including plans to finish ps5 pro support and release in 2027, it's all down the sink.
Happy OVERGROWN teaser reveal day!
Enjoy a quick peek into the world we've envisioned for this story, and help us spread the word about the project. Let's make it happen together.

⭐️ Free Tool for Blender Animators ⭐️
It's been a while since I've been thinking about making something like this for Blender, so I could have an easier time animating in this software.
It's a set of 16 sliders from my Maya Animo toolset.
