@krystellaswan Agents are familiar with lots of editors & know which ones might be a good fit for the book, but ultimately it’s up to the publisher & all of the pub departments to decide if they can do their best to sell the book! 2/2

@krystellaswan I interned for an agent repping MG/YA, and according to her there's really no way to guarantee a book will sell. Agents use their preferences & what they know is currently selling, but it's hard to tell what the market will be like when the book is published years later 1/2
