Working on webGPU shaders inside spawn. Results are very promising for AO and soft shadows. Looks like a whole new game.

Once the materials follow suit, we're probably getting close to UE as it gets in spawn.

Performance is still anywhere between 15 and 60 fps and that's something to tackle next.

Oh, this? This is a huge 3km deep dungeon/raid which starts by digging 'too greedily and too deep'.

Been working on level design full time, and finally it's starting to take shape.

🌸After the rain, there's that morning dew and slight fog with a lovely breeze.

The weather system is almost complete, some optimizations still needed.

If there's interest, I'll release the weather system as a spawn mod.

Also, should I make a new X just for Ancestral Throne?

Seems like folks don't enjoy looking at it much here, then again it doesn't show it to the right people...

@hanselang Started with BG1 and played every single Bioware game till Anthem. They simply lost their way - signs were there even with DA3.

Bioware got me into d&d. Into roleplaying in general. Playing Baldur's Gate back in the day and witnessing the era of 3D coming in with KOTOR and Neverwinter Nights was a some of the best memories I had in gaming.

Lots of taste comes from old Bioware.

I wish things were different, but re-educating people who had limited patience and too much choice on stuff like 'gender politics' and pushing agendas for something completely displaced from what the customer wants brought us to this point.

This is a wake up call for the industry!

Farewell Bioware and may we learn to never repeat this mistake again.

@Izkimar Larian is good. OS2 was great but we can see with bg3 they were pandering to the political correct audience.

I hope they won't go down the same path.

@tamamogram Both are beautiful in their own way. Where i am there's tons of Sakura trees blooming in march but peach trees are hard to find. I think it was a simply a matter which trees were available for people who wanted to witness the beauty of nature

@tamamogram Yeah it's similar culturally. Everyone enjoys Sakura season here in spring but those trees are more white than pink! These are peach trees which also have their season in Japan but are more deeply rooted in Chinese culture!
