Qixi is approaching! And now we know what's on the horizon. Since we won't be spending time with Valko in game (or the other LIs due to the boycott), I'd like for us to participate in an event that was initially created by our CN sisters for Qixi!

Qixi will start on August 19th in China, which is 9:00 am Pacific/noon Eastern on August 18th. So beginning then and for the following 24 hours, I'd like to suggest making at least one post using the tag the CN girlies will be using - #和敖尹的七夕 which means "Qixi Festival with Ao Yin."

THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT - just for at least one post and only for 24 hours. This is supposed to be a fun distraction while we wait for the revenue info to come in.

The original concept was for baking either Qixi treats or whatever you celebrate with in your culture for Valentine's Day! I personally will still be doing things!
I have plans to make pawprint shaped Qiaoguo, some wolf shaped cookies, and a chocolate ganache cake!

If baking if not your thing, maybe you can treat yourself that day and post a photo with the tag! Or do something for yourself that has "Valentine's Day" vibes and treat it as "Qixi with Valko." Art and fanfiction is welcome too! If we post our own photos, try to write Valko's name or a Valko ✨

Qixi is a holiday based on the legend of Zhinü and Niulang, a goddess and a human that fell in love and were separated when Zhinü was forced to return to "heaven." Since we are being separated from our wolf, I think celebrating this holiday with posts about Valko is very fitting. I'll be posting daily reminders as we approach the 18th/19th, and please let me know if you have any questions!! 💙

okay, now that we have Day 2 of Rafayel’s Vermilion Martial God, the comparison is getting pretty interesting.

Day 2
- LSG: $1,962,413 -> down 2.8%
- God of the Tides: $1,941,056 -> down only 0.8%
- Vermilion Martial God: $725,793 -> down 42.1%

This is where the difference becomes really obvious.

On Day 1, Vermilion Martial God was already 37.9% below LSG and 35.9% below God of the Tides.

By Day 2, it was 63.0% below LSG and 62.6% below God of the Tides.

For the first two days combined:
- LSG: $3,980,420
- God of the Tides: $3,898,060
- Vermilion Martial God: $1,979,591

So Vermilion Martial God has made roughly half of what LSG and God of the Tides made in their first two days.

And the Day 1 → Day 2 drop is probably the most interesting part:

LSG: -2.8%
God of the Tides: -0.8%
Vermilion Martial God: -42.1%

It's still only Day 2, so I wouldn't draw a final conclusion yet. But the difference in the early revenue trajectory is already very noticeable.

A little reminder, because I see people getting upset about antis trying to report billboards, mocking fan projects, or getting angry whenever Valko receives love.

Something I learned from working as a developer on projects is to think in terms of Circle of Control and Circle of Influence whenever things get frustrating.

Your Circle of Control is what you can directly decide: what you post, how you behave, where you spend your money, what you support and where you put your energy.

Your Circle of Influence is bigger. You cannot control the outcome, but you can influence it: by making Valko visible, supporting projects, contacting Infold, sharing information and showing that there is still demand for him.

And then there are things outside both circles. We cannot control what some random anti thinks. We cannot stop someone from being angry about a billboard. We cannot force people to reconsider a position they have defended tooth and nail for months.

At some point, conflicts can become part of group identity. Anything contradicting the “we were right, we won” narrative can then feel threatening even something as harmless as we putting our favorite character on a billboard.

So don’t feed the trolls.

Those billboards existed. They lit up cities. We saw them. Other people saw them. Valko was celebrated and loved in public!

Someone being angry about that afterwards cannot undo it, and they certainly cannot take that joy away from us.

Spend your energy where it can actually make a difference. Keep creating. Keep supporting. Keep being visible. Keep reminding Infold why we are still here.

Our goal was never to convince every anti on the internet.
