Hey there, we totally understand the sentiment. That's why we didn't raise prices for 6 years — we feel that pinch in every single service and cost of life. But it finally got to the point where we were pinched on so many fronts that we had to raise the price to keep building and maintaining Statamic without lowering our standards.

All that being said though, there are lots of ways to cut that license cost down.

Non-profit and educational projects (schools, universities, etc) qualify for a 20% discount.

We do PPP (Purchase Price Parity) discounts for customers in developing countries.

We have volume licensing, pay-per month licensing (Statamic Platform – which has negotiable tiers), and Statamic Core honestly is plenty feature-rich for lots of sites with smaller teams.

And one last thing — if you had any projects that you quoted the previous pricing on, we'd be happy to work with you and price match those so that difference doesn't come out of your pocket.
