Today i have met the top executive managers from Contec Global Agro Ltd ,an international Agro company dealing in Bio-fertilizer .
The company wants to invest between 22-25 million dollars
in the agriculture sector

I have today handed over 200 spray pumps and pesticides to 9 districts that are affected with the sweetpotato butterfly caterpillar outbreak in the eastern part of uganda the districts affected include Luuka,Iganga ,pallisa Bugiri ,jinja ,kamuli,Bukedea,Budaka and Namutumba

I have met the steering committee of Uganda soil institute based at Busitema university the team is headed by prof juilus Zake
prof of soil science plans are under by my ministry to come with policy's to protect the soils from degradation

it was my pleasure to meet the steering team from the Uganda soil institute lead by prof Julius zake prof of soil science ,we discussed issues on soil degradation and how we can improve the soil nutrients in our country
