In August, we collaborated with members of the Perry Fire Department, Port Wentworth Fire Department, Liberty County Fire Department, and the Americus Fire Department to host an Apparatus Operator Ladder (AOPL) training.

Firefighter Spotlight: Valiant Lyte
We’d like to give a shout out to Firefighter Valiant Lyte for his outstanding contributions beyond the fireground. Valiant has become a creative force behind designing custom company patches for our department.
On Monday, April 28th, we proudly held the push-in ceremony for our brand-new 2024 Sutphen SPH 100-ft aerial platform. It was an incredible moment, made even more special by the many familiar faces who joined us.
This week at the Statesboro Fire Department, we finished up our Ropes 1 (RTR 1) training class with Effingham Fire Department as well as Pooler Fire and Rescue! From knot tying to basic rigging, our team is putting in the work to enhance safety and efficiency in the field.

On Wednesday, October 23rd, we hosted the annual United Way luncheon here at Station One. We want to thank Dolans BBQ for catering and all of the local businesses that sponsored the raffle giveaways!

On Tuesday, October 22nd, we were delighted to visit the "Action Pact" Bulloch Senior Center to teach them about fire safety and show them the truck! We are so thankful to have been invited out and had a great morning with this amazing group!

We proudly welcome our newest class of firefighters, who as of August 3rd have successfully graduated from recruit school! After weeks of hard work and training, they are ready to serve and protect our community.

This morning our recruits practiced some advanced skills at our training facility. They are wrapping up week six of this vigorous training to become the next group of firefighters serving our community! We are incredibly proud of them.
What an amazing morning at Compassion Christian Church's kids camp! Our firefighters had an absolute blast cooling off and joining in on the fun with everyone.

Congratulations to Fire Apparatus Operator (F.A.O.) Ryan Marrow, Fire Apparatus Operator (F.A.O.) Spencer Johnson, and Firefighter Valiant Lyte for receiving the VFW Post 10825 Mooney Prosser Memorial 2023 Annual Firefighter Award.
Over the past three days, our firefighters teamed up with Bulloch County EMS for an advanced extrication training. We practiced patient care techniques and enhanced our rescue skills.
A big thank you to our EMS partners! We feel even better equipped to serve our community.
Our firefighters had an incredible time at Camp RAD! It was awesome getting to connect with these amazing campers. They were able to learn about fire safety as well as how to use the fire hose!

A portion of Veterans Memorial Parkway between US 301 and Cypress Lake Rd will be closed for railroad crossing maintenance starting on Monday, Dec. 4. The repairs are anticipated to be complete by Friday, Dec. 8. The crossing will be completely closed to traffic during this time
