There are false claims circulating regarding the clan chief in the photograph—he is not Hersi Guusha but a Habar Gidir clan chief. The photo of the Habar Gidir clan chief was taken between 1926 and 1930 (Excerpt 1), making it impossible for it to depict Hersi Guusha, as he was already killed in 1925.
Furthermore, the telegram from the 1925 war against the Majeerteens (Excerpt 2) explicitly confirms that Hersi Guusha was killed by Habar Gidir forces in that same year. This fact is further reinforced by (Excerpt 3), the translated version of the telegram, which clearly documents his death.
@urhonour_ @SultanKhalif9@e_u_6@user110392 @egyptiansomali @GuerraenlaUni There’s an entire team working on this that you can keep up with on the two Somali forums of Sspot and Somaliwave (Swave has the main team). They’ve got informative threads with all the latest updates. There’s been a couple of Hawiye samples so far that tested for E-V32.
Abdullahi Yusuf legacy:
1) After the failed coup in 1978 he fled to Kenya, lied about Somalia to get Kenyan support and bragged that he was the reason Ethiopia bounced back in 1978
2) Helped Ethiopians invade Somalia in 1982. then after being used he was sent to prison
The similarities between the two ongoing tensions in Mudug and Galguudud summarized.....
Jiicboor: Leelkase - Sacad
The two clans previously agreed (xeer) that they should use Jiicboor as a grazing land to feed their livestock and that they should not create any settlement there. At the end of last year, Leelkase broke this agreement (Xeer) by trying to create a settlement there (Ceel qodis). The tension started because of it is still ongoing for more than a year now in that area!
Near Laandheer: Surre - Marexaan
The same thing happened near Laandheer earlier this year in Galguduud, a place where Surre and Mareexaan had agreed (xeer) not to create any settlement and use it as grazing land. Mareexaan broke it by creating settlement there. The tension started because of it is still going for more than 7 months now in that area!
Let me tell you the problem with Somali people.
1) Short term memory loss
2) Selective outrage
3) Fake patriotism mixed with qabyalad (yes me also)
4) The closet love for amxaars and kikuyu
BREAKING NEWS 🚨
An Ogaden woman cries in the middle of kismayo shocked by the casualties of the raaskamboni confrontation between the Somali national army and the jubaland forces.
@DumaalSaQaF We don’t even know who the ciidan who crossed the border into Kenya were. The tweet in which this was reported has been deleted. Adigu, Murusadow maxaad Hawiye u kala saareysa? 😂
@Giedirer I’m glad her rapist was killed by some honorable men. It’s unfortunate that women from Puntland are subjected to inhumane abuse by their male counterparts. What makes them so barbaric towards the gentler race?
IDENTITY CRISIS:
Darod traditional leader fears to speak in Arabic in front of ‘fellow’ Arabs.
“I will not try to speak in Arabic because I fear my Arab-ness might be questioned if I do so.”
The Darod clan in Somalia faces one of the most severe cases of identity crisis.
