Jesus fucking christ Doc, this continued response is so fucking tired and annoying. My eyes yearn for the back of my skull when I read it. This is not complicated. I’m going to explain it to you. My longest tweet ever.

Let’s live in a world for a moment where you did nothing wrong. Completely innocent. Everything is as you say it is. This is actually the reality most people want to believe. Everyone would be better off if you weren’t scum messaging minors.

You may not want to take accountability for your messages, but what you cannot escape accountability for is how YOU and ONLY YOU undermined ANY confidence or trust people could have in you with your response. The Twitter post, the editing, the avoidance, the ambiguity (your fans claim 17 but you’ve actually never said and no one actually fucking knows), it all REEKS of something being untold. People were/are on high alert, and you COMPLETELY botched any attempt to alleviate those concerns.

YOU, you fucked that up.

So now, people are REASONABLY concerned. Innocent until proven guilty is great for the courts, but people are going to naturally draw conclusions themselves and should because it’s potentially a very serious issue. One VERY simple and VERY straightforward action you could do to put people’s minds at ease and your own worries and frustrations would be to release the fucking messages.

There are many people that want to believe you. This would, for so many people (assuming you are innocent), bridge the gap for them to understand you and join your side. You made things too messy for them, so they need more. It’s completely understandable.

But what do you do?

Instead of using this opportunity to simultaneously clear your name AND bring back others on the fence about you, you BERATE the fence sitters for asking. You make fun of anyone who doesn’t just blindly trust while also providing NOTHING substantial to negotiate your innocence and you are somehow angry and confused people don’t believe you. It’s incredible.

For someone in your position it is BAFFLING you wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to bring receipts to clear your name. It’s so illogical, in fact, that it makes you look MORE guilty you aren’t doing it. No sane person would allow the world to assume they are a pedophile if they had the proof that showed otherwise, so it reasons out that you not releasing them means there’s probably something in them you don’t want us to see. That’s the only sense many of us can make out of this level of disregard for protesting your innocence.

But you don’t care right? You know your truth. Cool man. You are free to approach this however you want. It’s your life, it’s your family, it’s your reputation. But for the love of christ, can you fucking stop acting like it’s confusing why people don’t believe you? Can you stop fucking acting like a victim when you ridicule people who hoped you’d exonerate yourself?

You don’t get to show as little evidence as you have and still act indigent when questioned. At this point you should accept how people feel about you, if not because you did the thing, but because you chucklefucked your way through this disaster and offered no alternatives besides a ‘trust me bro’. YOUR decision to not release the messages or provide anything substantial paints this reality, live with your choices and stop making it everyone else’s problem.
